Hunter United Credit Union
Local financial institution, Hunter United Credit Union, have launched their new Green Saver Loan.
This loan will be offered to householders wanting to make improvements to their energy and water efficiency. For example, loans of up to $20,000 are available to purchase solar power systems, water tanks, insulation and other households improvements designed to achieve economic and environmental savings.
These loans will be offered at a significantly discounted rate and are repayable over 5 years. Providing affordable finance will help people in the Hunter overcome the upfront costs associated with energy and water efficiency improvements.

Mullane Maintenance
Mullane Maintenance conceptualised Mullane Environmental in 2006 with a vision of pairing a commitment to quality maintenance service delivery with cutting edge sustainability practices. Mullane Maintenance has serviced the Hunter and surrounding areas since 1925. This service sees the team on any given day in locations within the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Council areas as well as into the vineyards, as far north as Hawks Nest and as far south as the Central Coast.
Mullane Maintenance has been involved in sustainable plumbing initiatives for some time including the supply and installation of rainwater tanks, upgrading electrical installations in commercial buildings (ie energy saving light globes, timers for lighting etc), installation of water flow restrictors to taps in high usage areas such as shopping centres and as contractors in new buildings with sustainable plumbing installations
Currently registered with the Australian Government as installers for insulation installation, Mullane Maintenance is actively encouraging our customers to replace electric water heaters with solar or heat pump units and to take advantage of all available rebates to "green up" their plumbing, electrical or roofing installation.
