Eighteen schools from across the Hunter will today celebrate being sponsored by five local organisations to participate in the ClimateCam® for Schools project. Developed by Newcastle City Council, ClimateCam for Schools tackles climate change at a local level by showing students how to reduce energy and water use in their schools.

Round one sponsors include Macquarie Generation, Biodiesel Industries Australia, Port Stephens Council, Newcastle Port Corporation, Newcastle Herald and Newcastle City Council. Read the full story
Local households and businesses in the Newcastle and Hunter region are invited to take advantage of the latest TogetherTODAY initiative, an easy and free service for reducing energy and water costs while helping the environment.
The Enviro Saver Program is a one-stop point of call delivered by Fieldforce Services Pty Ltd. Following the recent opening of a new office and call centre in Morisset, the Enviro Saver Energy Assessors have been flooded with requests to install free energy and water saving showerheads and energy- efficient light globes.
City Energy and Resource Manager PETER DORMAND says the Enviro Saver Program is the second TogetherTODAY initiative to be announced following the launch of ClimateCam for Schools in July this year.
