Saving Energy
1.
Turn off appliances at the switch instead of leaving them on standby.
2. Use the clothesline, not the dryer!
3. Wash with cold water and save energy.

. Use a thermostat on your air conditioning and never turn it down past 23 degrees in summer.
5. Switch all your bulbs over to energy efficient ones.

Saving Water
1. Use a plug when washing your hands, fruit and vegies or rinsing the dishes.

Thaw frozen foods in the fridge overnight or use the microwave instead of placing them under running water.

Fit water savings AAA shower heads and bubble fixtures on your taps.

If you have an older toilet with a large capacity, try putting a bottle filled with water or a brick in the cistern to reduce the amount of water used with each flush.
6. Try to restrict your shower time - five minutes is plenty of time to get clean. Put a timer in the shower if it’s hard to keep track.
